Created to promote the greatest local vendors, inspire brides with innovative ideas for their wedding, as well as encourage solid marriages, The NotWedding puts on an exquisite and unique bridal show that simulates the real deal! Bringing together a talented team to make your big day special, the organization also seeks to help equip you for marriage, which is something that you can easily lose sight of when you are chin-high in catering samples and photographer websites. Here at The NotWedding, we actively invest in couples who may be crafting their one big day but are also designing the rest of their lives.
We plan a “fake” wedding so that real brides can hear the DJ, taste the food, smell the flowers and interact with wedding vendors. Here is how it works: you get dressed up with your girlfriends and/or your fiancé to attend the ceremony (featuring an already-married couple who are renewing their vows). After that you will have a delicious dinner from a fabulous caterer and then dance the night away as a guest at one of the most entertaining (albeit fake) weddings you’ll ever attend.
I attended my first NotWedding back in 2009 with a friend. I was nowhere near being engaged, but I had an incredible time experiencing some of Atlanta’s greatest vendors at work. I knew that the instant I became engaged, The NotWedding would be my first place to look for vendors with fresh ideas.
We invite you to attend The NotWedding in Atlanta (February 25, 2013), Los Angeles (February 27, 2013) or San Diego (March 5, 2013) by buying your tickets here: www.thenotwedding.com/rsvp.
