What kind of conversations should we be having to prepare us for marriage?

Q: My fiancé and I are engaged to be married this summer. What kind of conversations should we be having and what questions should we be asking towards building a strong and godly marriage?

A: I have an extensive answer and it’s found in my book, Things I Wish I’d Known Before We Got Married. In each chapter of the book, I deal with one of twelve topics that are the kind of things that need to be discussed before you get married. So I would suggest you get a copy, the two of you read each chapter and discuss the questions at the end of the chapter … work your way through those things. That will help you make a wise decision about getting married or not getting married. If the decision is to marry, it’s going to help you make the transition from being single to being married. In addition, you’re going to make that transition much more smoothly if you deal with these issues before you get married.
